COVID-19 Status Page

We look forward to welcoming you to Ocracoke! Please review the important information below, outlining the changes to our practices and services for the safety of you and our staff.

All check-ins and check-outs will be handled outside of our office.

Guests will receive their welcome packet in the key drop box located outside of our office door. If someone is retrieving their key packet please form a line, spaced six feet apart to allow for social distancing measures as directed by the CDC guidelines.


During your stay:

Should you need assistance during your stay please contact our office by phone and a member of our staff will be able to assist you.  


A note to our Castle Bed and Breakfast guests: Breakfast and afternoon social services will still be provided during your stay, in compliance with the CDC guidelines. Our breakfast service is available from 8 am – 9 am daily. We are currently offering a set menu available for pick up through our kitchen. You are able to receive a plated breakfast and dine in our socially distanced dining room or you may request a to-go box to enjoy your breakfast in your room or on our screened porches.


Pool Access: 

Our pool will be open from Saturday, May 23rd, 2020 through mid-October.  We are in Phase 2 of North Carolina’s plans for re-opening. During this time community pools are restricted to 50% of our maximum occupancy. Please know we have limited the pool chairs available to adhere to these guidelines.  Additionally, the CDC recommends social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID19. We ask all guests to stay 6 feet away from other swimmers and guests while using the pool, and pool deck.



Traditionally community bicycles are available for guest use while staying at the Castle Bed & Breakfast and Courtyard Villas. We have been unable to secure bicycles for this season due to high demand. Once available we will again provide this amenity for our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for understanding.



When checking out, please return your rooms keys to the drop box located outside of our office.


Preventative Measures:
Our housekeepers are taking additional measures to ensure all rooms are cleaned and sanitized.    

  • Please note daily housekeeping services will not be available during this time, to reduce exposure and contact during your stay. Additional amenity items will be provided in your room based on the length of your stay. Should you require additional towels, toiletries, etc. please contact our office by phone to have them delivered to your room.
  • We are using cleaning products specifically approved by the EPA for the COVID-19 virus and have a dedicated focus on sanitizing all major touch points.
  • Common areas like our library, outdoor spaces, dining room and front desk are being cleaned and sanitized every 3 hours.

Cancellation Policy for COVID Restrictions:
If we are unable to host you, due to our area being closed to visitors due to COVID19, we would proactively contact any impacted guests and offer to cancel (with refund), or reschedule the dates of the reservation.
