It is Ocrafolk Festival Time!
Enjoy a full weekend of music, storytelling, art, crafts, family friendly events, pot-luck, workshops, an auction and square dance. The festivities start at 6 PM on Friday, go throughout the day and into the night Saturday. Sunday begins with a Gospel Sing at 9:30 AM and ends with an All Star Jam Finale starting at 3PM. More...  The gardens are in bloom at the Castle! Are you visiting the Castle properties soon? It is certainly worth taking some time to stroll the gardens outside.  It was last September that two web footed guests arrived at the front door of the Castle B&B. Since then, the mom has become like family. Just recently the Castle family grew by eight babies. This afternoon, they came to visit just outside the front door. With one baby injured, Elizabeth Hanrahan, Ocracoke's Wildlife Rehabilitator was called. The entire family was moved to "rehab" under the compassionate care of Elizabeth. A tearful Innkeeper held her friend, the mother duck, while the ducklings were gathered for their trip across the island. More... Friday, May 18, 2012
 Mark your Calendar for the Memorial Day Weekend Ocracoke Volunteer Firemen's Ball! The 7th annual Ocracoke Volunteer Firemen's Ball will be held Saturday, May 26th at the Community Center on Ocracoke Island. The event starts off with a pig pickin', followed by a silent and live auction.
