The Ocrafolk Festival - June 1-3, 2012
It is Ocrafolk Festival Time!
Enjoy a full weekend of music, storytelling, art, crafts, family friendly events, pot-luck, workshops, an auction and square dance. The festivities start at 6 PM on Friday, go throughout the day and into the night Saturday. Sunday begins with a Gospel Sing at 9:30 AM and ends with an All Star Jam Finale starting at 3PM.

The Gardens at The Castle B&B and Courtyard Villas
The gardens are in bloom at the Castle! Are you visiting the Castle properties soon? It is certainly worth taking some time to stroll the gardens outside. Maybe just walk a little slower on your way to the pool! It is guaranteed to be a pleasant, relaxing experience. We sincerely thank Jose for his care of the Castle gardens.

The Duck Family at the Castle Bed & Breakfast
It was last September that two web footed guests arrived at the front door of the Castle B&B. Since then, the mom has become like family. Just recently the Castle family grew by eight babies.

This afternoon, they came to visit just outside the front door. With one baby injured, Elizabeth Hanrahan, Ocracoke's Wildlife Rehabilitator was called. The entire family was moved to "rehab" under the compassionate care of Elizabeth. A tearful Innkeeper held her friend, the mother duck, while the ducklings were gathered for their trip across the island.
